Hello
Thank you for stopping
by at this week’s blog post.
I hope this would be
food for thought for those who had less than ideal upbringings to be eventually
free of such pain. This is a letter to my childhood self to let go and not to
transfer the pain onto another generation.
Pain is very much part
of life, to co-exist in a broken world can be somewhat hard to bear. A stable
childhood with love, peace and nurture no doubt gives all children a better
fighting chance to succeed in life because a good and strong foundation can
withhold and withstand adversities that can turn trials into triumph. The grit
and tenacity built up over the years, gives resilience and strength to win the
midst of adversity.
This type of idyllic
childhood can be something of a rarity as we all seem to be products of our
environments. We may blame our parents but chances are they are also victims of
their past. In reality most are brought up into messes and strife that
exacerbates brokenness, as the fragile upbringing makes us ill prepared for the
path ahead, which makes failure at some point during adulthood inevitable.
Our outlook on life is
both conscious and subconscious, the by-products of behaviour and choices we
once observed. The powerful nature of one’s upbringing therefore cannot be
understated because pain and wounds can feed into our dying souls. Growing
up angry and resentful at the burden of your past is your right. However
continuing to hate on the burden doesn’t change the past but adversely affects
the present.
Hate tends to bring out
more hate and steer choices that may turn the past into life sentence. I believe
there is a higher power of Light that can help to free every nation and
generation of past transgressions. Knowledge breathes hope that influence and
instigates change through the application of the truth.
Any awakening starts off
as sheer gravity of pain, with the Light at the end of the tunnel.
Best wishes
KIMI X
