MorningInspiration - Beliefs - Who Am I - Identity Feat North Point Community Church in Atlanta Clay Scroggins

Hello Thanks as always for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed last week’s post, which gave you an insight into our lives outside the blog. This new blog post is inspired by Clay Scroggins (link below). I felt so blessed by it and hope you do too. I think most could relate to it in some shape or form, so I would encourage you to share this. Best wishes KIMI X Who AM I? I received this message in a very timely fashion, as at the same time I was writing for my book on how parental failure, left me feeling defeated. This sour life event, turned into a belief of- I will never win in life. The relentlessness of the emotional pain was weighing me down that I didn’t see beyond my natural confinement. The lack of academic success only feed my insecurities and reinforced this belief. I had a very poor self-image as the foundations laid before me was toxic beyond comprehension. Through the grace of God, my emotional pain is healing and the renewal of my mind...

#MorningInspiration #ThursdayThoughts #Inspiration #Journey - #Grateful #Thankful #Memories

Hello Thank you as always for stopping by. I am so sorry that this week’s blog is slightly later than usual. I have been so busy editing my book, it completely slipped my mind. I hope you enjoyed the last 4 week’s special blog series- #SurvivorsMovement – it was deeply poignant because I think most could relate in some shape or form. We are all #survivors of something, in the words of Steve Harvey- we all have the same story, with different details. This week I felt compelled to write about #inspiration, as I believe inspiration fuels desires to create a better future. For those who follow me or us I should say as my daughter is very much part of the creative process too. You will know that we are committed to living each day to its fullest.  Below are a few of my favourite memories- enjoy!  Local church Christmas party- It was transformed into a winter wonderland theme, the candles to me represented light-the gifts of Jesus Christ, the arch is t...

#WisdomWednesday #God is the only one who can make a valley of trouble a door of #hope #Hosea

Hello Thank you for stopping by at the final blog series of #SurvivorsMovement This week’s #inspiration is based on the scripture below: Obedience to the Word, can be a challenge, as my paradigms has been shaped by past experiences. Every day is very much a working process in my heart to become more Christ like rather than World like. Through God’s grace my heart started to soften against the inequities of others who had caused me pain. It’s impossible to live out the Word of God if I chose to hold on to these offenses. Keeping our hearts clean is the best defence against the enemy, when you are filled with love and peace, the Lord is your strength and joy. Christian life is no easy or quick fix to world problems, but it has widen my views from chasing personal and material gains to learning to suffer well and using my gift to play a part in changing the world. The abandonment from my own father has left a deep void. Once I have forgiven the parental failure and the...

#MorningInspiration #Survivors #SurvivorsMovement - A #Journey into the root causes of #pain

Hello Thank you for stopping by. This week is the 3rd part blog series to  #SurvivorsMovement The movement is all about surviving to thriving , transitioning onto greater things. Jimmy Evans said that it’s never the pain that causes us pain, it’s our response to pain. As I dwelled on this I realised the chain reaction in my own response to pain. I learnt the hard and harsh reality that no one can rescue us or love us like we can ourselves, looking for someone to fill a void doesn't usually end well because you are unlikely to make an informed choice when you feel vulnerable yourself and even the best examples of human nature tends to fall short.  Moreover, we are never truly complete without our Heavenly Father, it’s only God who can get into the source of pain. I have had therapy for ten years off and on, it never got to the source of my pain just touching the symptoms, hence the cycle. My mindset also started to renew by applying the key principles of Chris...

#SurvivorsMovement #SurvivorsJourney #Suffering #Surviving #Soaring - Quick burst of #inspiration

Hello Thank you for stopping by, this week's #blogpost is the second part of our #SurvivorMovement. In my own Survivor Circle, I created the inspiration below and I felt compelled to share it with other fellow survivors, beyond this group in hope that it will benefit more people. The idea behind the cup is to fill it with hot chocolate, marshmallows, whipped cream, sprinkles or just a favourite drink that you can decorate representing the transition from s uffering, s urviving to s oaring. Below is the story of my cup: My cup was lonely and empty in that I was existing and not living. Through the grace of God he has taught me to value the becoming rather what was, practising this never fails me to be at peace with my original being. My belief is that whilst I had suffered but I am not broken because in a broken world, I have learnt to suffer well. Now I am ready to fly and soar into my purpose. I wanted share some pictures of the #SurvivorMovemen...
