#MorningInspiration #MorningMotivation #WisdomWednesday - A Short Read to Feed the Soul - Are you living or existing ?

Hello I am currently writing an article titled: My Journey into living and not just merely existing in life.   This inspired me to explore more of the big ideas that I hope to turn into a reality.  The distinction between living and existing never fails to intrigue me in finding out, what does it looks like to be truly living. Given that most of us dislike what we do for a living and it is seen as a somewhat luxury to be fulfilling our real passions, makes it a very real issue. ‘Don’t live the same year 75 times and call it a life’- Robin Sharma  ‘To live is the rarest thing in the world most people exist, that is all’ – Oscar Wilde. I saw a typical pattern in conforming to society norms, which seem to encourage staying in your comfort zones. This appears to feed into the sentiments in the above quotes, as living usually involves pushing through social norms and challenging the status quo. The meaning of living can be subjective and dependent on your ...

Hello This week’s inspiration comes from the following post: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10154456141285921&set=a.10150664521115921.450845.711685920&type=3&theater Forgiveness is something I struggle with, a sense of injustice is so deeply ingrained I never thought I be able get pass this. When I was micromanaged out of my last job, it particularly harden my heart because it wasn’t professional but personal. The management whom was mostly female lived up to the stereotypical views of women in the workplace. It was so sad to see poor practices to support such beliefs. I am addressing the management as a whole rather than the individual in question because she was not alone in her ways. It was evident that the management and I saw the world differently. The management had a very traditional mindset, where respect...

#MorningInspiration #WisdomWednesday- How Do I See the World?

Hello This week’s blog post carries on from last week’s- time to reflect and when I saw the slogan below it prompted the question- how do I see the world?     I believe there is a direct correlation between how we see the world and how far or not we get in life. In the bible it says the heart regulates the hands 2. Corinthians 8:9-23. In other words what is in our hearts comes out in our actions, if we value life we tend to make the most of everything. This includes how we our resources such as our mind and time, both equally valuable as there is only one of you and there are only 24 hours in a day. Some may say the gap between the rich and the poor has never been wider or the have and have not’s. A very compelling question to ask is why such a disparity? Taking away the specific variables, we are left with our minds and time both are not subjected to means but influenced and conditioned by its environment. Looking back on my own life I can...

Morning Inspiration - Time For Reflection

Hello Hope you had an amazing summer! We had many great moments that no doubt will turn into precious memories. We share our travels via Instagram, love for you to join us. I am saying ‘we’ because my daughter is very much part of the creative process, as you will see. We made a pact to ‘enjoy the little things’ and we did, keeping costs to a minimal. It's so liberating to stripped back in life and realise truly what matters. We literally get so inspired by everything and anything from the beauty of nature, to awesome displays. As I pondered on my first post back, I came across this window display with some very fitting words, at this particular time of the year:   Enjoy! KIMI   I was pretty burned out just before the summer, so was looking forward to having a staycation with my daughter. The break worked wonders as we were able to take our time to smell the flowers, as the saying goes. I particularly loved the artsy moments with the face paint and ballo...
