A Short Poem - Pain Suffering & Deliverance by Hope & Faith

Hello

I hope you enjoy the second instalment of the pain, suffering and deliverance poem series.

Pain is very much part of life, teaching our children to suffer well- Chip Ingram, probably won’t be as popular as the modern day concepts of parenting but arguably necessary to instil. We live in a world that is undoubtedly broken. Learning to co-exist in a broken world is very much a process and a life skill we should all possess. This makes the likelihood of winning in the midst of adversity far greater.

I believe there is power in expressing pain through various means that will inspire, uplift and encourage. I hope my love for life in spite of my broken past will serve as inspiration for others. Pain can be internalised but not necessarily articulated, residing in you causing further strife or suffering, hence I say what goes in, must come out.

Over the years the pain and suffering accumulated so much, it had become a part of me. I could have worn it like a badge, lived with a chip on my shoulders, having a sense of entitlement that everyone owes me. Or I could just let it go and enjoy the rest of my life, holding on to the pain doesn’t change the pain, pain is pain, taking it as a life lesson rather than a burden is almost certainly beyond our human capabilities. But hope and faith in the truth can move mountains.

When you keep the pain, it becomes a part of you instead of being you. Life is hard at the best of times, but coming from a background of pain, suffering and hurt just makes life that much harder. When the brain has been traumatised it can take a life time to recover, heal and to be still but not impossible through the highest power of all.

Despite a good attitude and best efforts life can still be a constant struggle, facing the daily triggers of past events, sending you into a tail spin of sorrow. Living in the shadow of someone else’s opinion and not your own has become the norm of existence. Morals and values have somewhat been distorted through the flaws of those who should have protected you. The grace of God can teach anyone to be graceful and forgive because chances are those who have hurt you are hurt themselves.

Practising grace and forgiveness doesn’t necessarily make life any easier, as you can still live with those very effects that once broke you. Living the simple life doesn’t just mean materially, it’s far more profound than you ever imagine, through the biggest life giver of all. A broken past can lead to real needs in life that some may not be realistic, living in hope that tomorrow will be a better day is always an option to break history.

The image above was taken on a spontaneous boat trip, there is something very peaceful about water. I imagine the water washing away all my pain, leaving a sense of wellness and wholeness within me.

Be brave, feel the pain, accept the pain and release the pain. Let it flow like a river, feel the freedom in your body, spirit, mind and soul. There is freedom in forgiveness, when you let it go, you release the pain within you that once suppressed you. Once freedom and peace resides, you start to fly and soar into a purpose that you was always destined for.

Love

Highly Effective People Strives For Excellence

Hello I hope you enjoyed the last 2 special blog posts about Parentalk and Abuse. I felt it was important for me to use this platform to raise awareness on topics that could make a positive impact on future generations. This week is back to talking about life, inspiration, motivation and ideas-this post was actually inspired by a rather dysfunctional event. Every day we have many distractions, which can keep us from our destiny if we chose to be consumed by it.  Our dreams has to be bigger than our current reality to cause us not to sweat the smaller stuff and that involves letting some things or people go. The difference between effective and not-effective people is how we chose to channel it. Below is how (after the initial annoyance) I done it. Just to put this into context- the individual(s) concerns were unable to take accountability for their actions / errors, instead what I observed was a misuse of power and the slow demise of an outdated organisation. Enjoy...

A book review – Part One - Dealing with Disappointment by John Hindley

This book was a relatively easy read with the simple idea that leaves you to question: is life just one big disappointment?  In many ways it does seem so; the author delves into different areas of disappointment in our lives. I suspect most if not all are relatable to everyone. Firstly, the author says we actually should be disappointed by life, as things are not as good as they should be. We live in a frustrated and frustrating world; the frustration is because of the fallen world when sin entered humanity. We all carry this divinely inbuilt sense that the world should and could be better. The book goes on to say that on the other hand, we are sometimes too disappointed with life.  We expect satisfaction from other areas of lives to overcompensate for this.  When this satisfaction is denied, it starts an over-disappointed cycle. For example, I came across a thread where the mum wrote in and expressed disappointment in her children’s grades, which led her to ques...

A seemingly insignificant act has the potential to change the world...

I loved learning about the story of Reformation Day. The significance centres on how the Bible became accessible for everyone to read - historically the general public wasn’t allowed to read it, only priests or those considered anointed within the church were allowed to read it. The priests read the Bible in Latin, so for most people, it wasn’t even possible to read it. God’s word was entrusted into the hands of those in power, who were deemed qualified to understand it.  What the priests were teaching, was not actually in line with what the Bible said, as one monk, called Martin Luther found out. He started to read the Bible for himself out of pure frustration.  According to the teachings of the priests, believing in God seem to be just to be an endless set of rules and it left him feeling as if he could never be good enough for God. Little did he know at the time, he was about to birth a revolution that quite literally changed the world. This set him on a path of ...
