#HappyHolidays #SeasonsGreetings #HappyChristmas

Hello

Thank you so much for stopping my last blog before Christmas so I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a magical holiday season with family & friends, may it be filled with peace & joy.

Christmas …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

I wanted to start by sharing the following thought on a recent Women’s Ministry Event I attended.
Christmas can be a difficult time for the most parts, we want it to be perfect, the run up to Xmas is full of preparations for the big day & we start preparing well in advance to ensure it is. It can also be a time of sadness where there is such an emphasis on family & friends. We all have or carry out come sort of void or sadness that can make living in wholeness challenging. Our life is never fully complete without knowing who are saviour is.

I very much enjoyed the word below are the main things I took away:

- When we suffer lost it leaves a physical, mental & spiritual voids in our life. The pain of the lost can be numbing & empty. This can make the thereafter very challenging especially if you have children.

- God you are a good God that is only full of unconditional love for us all. Your Holy Spirit lives inside of us is comfort, warmth & security that we are not alone.

- You are a faithful father that never leaves us because your spirit lives inside of us.

- Unconditional love heals us of the pain, restores the soul to give us wellness & to live in wholeness again.

- When we know & accept our saviour into our life everything is complete. We find joy in everything life has to offer.

I felt compelled to share the above because even if you are not a believer, you may be able to identify with the sentiments & I hope you can find peace & joy in some shape or form. Before I found Christ I use to dread Christmas because of my circumstances. The pain & the voids in my life was somehow emphasis during the festive period.

I also want to briefly mention a ‘Peace on Earth’ event I attended because I think most can identify with:

A short sketch of a family scene with the Dad at work, mum trying to organise everything, childcare for work Christmas parties, food, arrangement for visiting family- ‘so much to do, so overwhelmed- too much is it possible to have peace?

A short film showing the level of hostility & violence that is currently present on earth. The voice over said this world is full of disruption, pain, strife & could there ever be peace on earth. It featured 2 testimonies of how God’s love heal them of pain, gave them a deep sense of acceptance, belonging & courage to be themselves.  It included the scripture of whoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ will not perish & live an everlasting life & God who loved the world so much that he gave his only son Jesus to save us from our sins. Jesus love is steadfast.

I was deeply moved by the message because we are all conditioned by our environments & a product of our environments. Any pain, hurt or trauma suffered needs to be healed for you to be free of the past. To have a deep sense of peace may seem a somewhat luxury to some, at the same time peace allows us to find joy because life is beautiful & it’s great just to be alive.

My healing journey has helped me to:
- Healing from past pain, hurt, resentment, disappointment & anger.
- Live & embrace all the moments in the here & now to improve my tomorrows.
- There is power in the letting go, to make space for the positives in life & gain clarity for your direction of travel.
- Life should be peace-filled, fun-filled & joy-filled if (it may be time to re-evaluate if this is not the case, you cannot expect a different result using the same mindset that created your current reality).

Highly Effective People Strives For Excellence

Hello I hope you enjoyed the last 2 special blog posts about Parentalk and Abuse. I felt it was important for me to use this platform to raise awareness on topics that could make a positive impact on future generations. This week is back to talking about life, inspiration, motivation and ideas-this post was actually inspired by a rather dysfunctional event. Every day we have many distractions, which can keep us from our destiny if we chose to be consumed by it.  Our dreams has to be bigger than our current reality to cause us not to sweat the smaller stuff and that involves letting some things or people go. The difference between effective and not-effective people is how we chose to channel it. Below is how (after the initial annoyance) I done it. Just to put this into context- the individual(s) concerns were unable to take accountability for their actions / errors, instead what I observed was a misuse of power and the slow demise of an outdated organisation. Enjoy...

A book review – Part One - Dealing with Disappointment by John Hindley

This book was a relatively easy read with the simple idea that leaves you to question: is life just one big disappointment?  In many ways it does seem so; the author delves into different areas of disappointment in our lives. I suspect most if not all are relatable to everyone. Firstly, the author says we actually should be disappointed by life, as things are not as good as they should be. We live in a frustrated and frustrating world; the frustration is because of the fallen world when sin entered humanity. We all carry this divinely inbuilt sense that the world should and could be better. The book goes on to say that on the other hand, we are sometimes too disappointed with life.  We expect satisfaction from other areas of lives to overcompensate for this.  When this satisfaction is denied, it starts an over-disappointed cycle. For example, I came across a thread where the mum wrote in and expressed disappointment in her children’s grades, which led her to ques...

A seemingly insignificant act has the potential to change the world...

I loved learning about the story of Reformation Day. The significance centres on how the Bible became accessible for everyone to read - historically the general public wasn’t allowed to read it, only priests or those considered anointed within the church were allowed to read it. The priests read the Bible in Latin, so for most people, it wasn’t even possible to read it. God’s word was entrusted into the hands of those in power, who were deemed qualified to understand it.  What the priests were teaching, was not actually in line with what the Bible said, as one monk, called Martin Luther found out. He started to read the Bible for himself out of pure frustration.  According to the teachings of the priests, believing in God seem to be just to be an endless set of rules and it left him feeling as if he could never be good enough for God. Little did he know at the time, he was about to birth a revolution that quite literally changed the world. This set him on a path of ...
