The #Story of the Daffodil- #Forgiveness gives us our #peace back

Hello

Thank you for stopping by at this week’s #BlogPost.

Forgiveness has been a lot on my mind recently and I expressed my thoughts in a poem. It was inspired by the common theme I observed that the true cost of un-forgiveness, can cost the freedom of not just one self but for generations to come.

The story of the daffodil…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

When sin entered the earth, it was inevitable that we would be enduring some sort of difficulties, challenges, pain & strife in the fallen world we live in-becoming a product of our environment. A cycle that seems to go on endlessly & mindlessly for generations to come.

How we describe the true meaning of life, is quite telling of the beliefs & values we were talked or observed during childhood. Our past does not determine our destiny, nor does it define us as human beings. The deep rooted held beliefs & values sets the foundation of our own meaning of life.

When we learn to forgive past endeavours, we begin to heal & rediscover the beauty of life. To be truly free in body, mind, spirit & soul that results into a better outcome than the one we know.  We need to accept the past so healing can begin, embrace the here and now. This begins a new chapter, a new journey of eternal freedom & everlasting peace not just for now but for generations to come.

Un-forgiveness keeps the pain fresh & each day it deepens to the depths of our souls. The ironic part is that the cause of the pain (offender) is usually living carefree & at ease, whilst the victim is imprisoned by the trauma that leaves an imprint that may never return to its original self, until one realizes that if one doesn’t let go, it can only prohibit your ability to live in peace and when you find peace, your joy becomes the light of your life.

As a Christian, I believe God is my only source and healer in my ability to live in fullness. I will stay committed and accountable to the Word & promise I made to the Lord because I trust him because if he can get me through, he can also get me out but that is entirely depended on me letting him in & healing my brokenness.

The story of the daffodil begins as a flower that has been suppressed by its environment, unable to bloom to its full being because not having a voice became the norm. As each day pass, it losses a bit of the soul. Being battered and bruised in body, mind, spirit & soul has become a way of life so much so- the daily passing of healing & peace is met with much resistance, because the pain has penetrated through the depths of its being that it was almost at depletion.

An overflow of love was poured from the heavens, slowly filled the depths of despair to renewal of hope & faith not in the efforts of one self, but the righteousness, peace & joy of Christ. An out pour of God’s grace can transform the state of being to the state of living, whom loves us all so unconditionally he does not give up but we must also allow him to come in & show us the right path that offers true freedom.

The flower’s destiny can be moved from being in the depths of despair not only visually but it its soul & spirit the oppression was apparent, as  always left an uneasy feeling the air & the weight of the world on its shoulders inevitability left an inability to cope. Once it’s realized that it does not have to cope on its own, that realization would forever change the course of its life to its original glory to thrive & become purposeful.

Have a blessed week.

Highly Effective People Strives For Excellence

Hello I hope you enjoyed the last 2 special blog posts about Parentalk and Abuse. I felt it was important for me to use this platform to raise awareness on topics that could make a positive impact on future generations. This week is back to talking about life, inspiration, motivation and ideas-this post was actually inspired by a rather dysfunctional event. Every day we have many distractions, which can keep us from our destiny if we chose to be consumed by it.  Our dreams has to be bigger than our current reality to cause us not to sweat the smaller stuff and that involves letting some things or people go. The difference between effective and not-effective people is how we chose to channel it. Below is how (after the initial annoyance) I done it. Just to put this into context- the individual(s) concerns were unable to take accountability for their actions / errors, instead what I observed was a misuse of power and the slow demise of an outdated organisation. A book review – Part One - Dealing with Disappointment by John Hindley

This book was a relatively easy read with the simple idea that leaves you to question: is life just one big disappointment?  In many ways it does seem so; the author delves into different areas of disappointment in our lives. I suspect most if not all are relatable to everyone. Firstly, the author says we actually should be disappointed by life, as things are not as good as they should be. We live in a frustrated and frustrating world; the frustration is because of the fallen world when sin entered humanity. We all carry this divinely inbuilt sense that the world should and could be better. The book goes on to say that on the other hand, we are sometimes too disappointed with life.  We expect satisfaction from other areas of lives to overcompensate for this.  When this satisfaction is denied, it starts an over-disappointed cycle. For example, I came across a thread where the mum wrote in and expressed disappointment in her children’s grades, which led her to ques...

A seemingly insignificant act has the potential to change the world...

I loved learning about the story of Reformation Day. The significance centres on how the Bible became accessible for everyone to read - historically the general public wasn’t allowed to read it, only priests or those considered anointed within the church were allowed to read it. The priests read the Bible in Latin, so for most people, it wasn’t even possible to read it. God’s word was entrusted into the hands of those in power, who were deemed qualified to understand it.  What the priests were teaching, was not actually in line with what the Bible said, as one monk, called Martin Luther found out. He started to read the Bible for himself out of pure frustration.  According to the teachings of the priests, believing in God seem to be just to be an endless set of rules and it left him feeling as if he could never be good enough for God. Little did he know at the time, he was about to birth a revolution that quite literally changed the world. This set him on a path of ...
