Hello
Thank you for
stopping by.
This week is
a 4 part special blog post series, as part of a
#SurvivorsMovement, it would be great if you could share below where you
are reading it from, as it’s our intention to go global with this. We are really passionate about making a positive difference, in hope to inspire other fellow #da survivors.
A message from a Survivors Circle,
each flower basket represents someone who turned their brokenness into their
breakthrough, we are a group of individuals at various stages of our
healing journey, who have come together with one message:
‘Your
broken place can become your healing place’
Our
brokenness was so uncomfortable but very much needed to process the past. A
common theme running through all our stories is the distinction between cause and symptoms.
The cause can be traced back to our childhoods, where our inner child needs was not met. This is what makes the movement so compelling, it is shared knowledge
that any trauma suffered, is unlikely just to affect the immediate family but
it can live on indefinitely far beyond the time in question.
Bitterness
and resentment dwell in us until we learnt to forgive. We found solitude in
immersing ourselves with new information beyond our confinement.  It widen our understanding in the fallen
world we became a part of. We now realised our past is no longer a life
sentence or a burden, because we chose to be productive with our pain. Restarting
again takes you outside of your comfort zone, it uses all the strength, courage
and grit you have to walk away from all that you ever known. You also practice
a major life lesson, which is your sanity is not for sale. Love yourself so much
that settling doesn’t become an option. In doing so, you not only raising your
own living standards but setting the blue print for future generations.
A
survivor is fearless because we already know we can survive, our mantra is:
I had suffered
But I have survived
Because yesterday’s scars are today’s
strength
We have been through injustice but we refuse to bear injustice because that's not our job.
