Hello
Thanks for
stopping by- I wanted to dedicate this blog post to my survivors circle, also
extending this to other fellow survivors.
‘A person who continues to function or prosper in spite of opposition, hardship, or setbacks’.
This led me to think that the best revenge is to live well,
living each day to its fullest and be successful as you can be. Even a victim
of past events can inspire future generations to make better choices and even
in the most tragic circumstances, something beautiful can come out of it which
is peace in itself.
This blog
post was prompted by the following note from my own circle:
‘When you have already died inside you fear nothing once
reborn’ (E) - this struck a chord with me, because I have died in my spirit and
soul many times over. This time I almost didn't get back up, the pain struck
through my inner most being that it left me struggling to co-exist in a fallen
world.
The key word that spoken to me was fear everything we want is the other side of fear- unknown.
‘Fearless
is not the absence of fear. It’s not being completely unafraid. Fearless is
having fears. Fearless is having doubts. Lots of them. Fearless is living in
spite of those things that scare you to death’- Taylor Swift. As humans we can
often be described as creatures of habits, but since my survivor-self kicked in
I am saying yes to life in spite of my fears of the unknown because life is
about the adventure and it’s up to us to make it an exceptional experience.
I felt compelled to highlight the value of having a
support group after a trauma. The value is limitless because we come from a
place where we have mutual understanding, inspiring and educating each other of
what it looks like to be living free from abuse (in my case), for example not
fearing future relationships via our stressors or triggers. The empathy of such
complex issues is priceless because we know all the non-text books signs. In
other words, red flags that we would have previously dismissed or trivialized.
It’s only in hindsight that we now know them to be warning signs that
ultimately manifested into something that would leave a lasting imprint.
I hope you enjoyed this and ask yourself the question am
I living fearlessly?
Have a great week ahead

my side I’m fearless, afraid of no-one or nothing.’ Psalm 27:1 MSG
