Live in the moment & keeping inner peace & joy………………………………………………

I am a strong believer in living and ceasing every moment because the past cannot be changed, edited or forgotten it can only be accepted- unknown. Instilling faith has allowed me to be a prisoner of hope, which means you still have faith that better days are ahead and today’s troubles will pass. If you can hold on to the belief that challenges are sent to promote and not destroy, you will come out stronger, wiser and so forth. We were never meant to live in lack or mediocrity and only in abundance and for our deepest desires to come to pass-Joel Osteen*. Better days are still ahead because how we value our time today is a prediction of our future-Saniya Keer. Therefore if we cease the daily moments there is no reason, why better days are not ahead.

I have been practising my inner peace and not to let anything stop me from being at my personal best every day. It sounds like a simple task but I don’t think we realised how much little things affect us (including myself). This could range from a challenging boss to noisy neighbours, we may find ourselves being consumed by this unknowingly. My mentor said to me ‘if you see it as an issue, then it will be will an issue’. The moral of the story is to choose your battles, Tyrese Gibson said ‘with every level there is another devil to stop you from achieving a higher self, this could be seeds of self-doubt or any form of negativity that stops you from dreaming and believing. He talks about haters (someone who never have anything good to say, never fail to find fault in everything and anything). We all have people like this in our lives and once you are made aware that hater have a job to do that is to hate and you know to never allow a hater a stage to stand on’ Tyrese Gibson**.

For me as a believer, I always stayed prayed up and give my burdens to God because he always turn my dis-eases into eases- unknown. I have found at the start, it was a conscious decision in not allowing anything to stop me from being my best and overtime it became habit- a way of life. For example, I had a friend over who commented on my noisy neighbours and she said doesn’t it annoy you? I responded with ‘if I allow minor issues (in the grand scheme of things) everything will start being an issue’. Today is the noise, tomorrow is the parking and chances are, if do make an issue out of it- I may have a counter attack dialogue and not to mention the massive energy and time it has soaked up that could have been spent better elsewhere e.g. learning new things that makes me a better version of myself than I was yesterday.

Since I made the conscious decision to keep my peace regardless of what is happening, taking control of my own happiness, not allowing other people’s dysfunctional behaviour affect myself I have already determined a better outcome in my day, week, month and year. I have kept my joy through having inner peace. I chose wisely who I am around because you can often tell how far you will go in life, by the 5 people you spend the most time with-Will Smith. Tyrese Gibson called this being a master of your own environment, love yourself enough to set standards or boundaries.

I kept a scrap book it includes words from my mentors, one of which I wanted to share that was written to me in one of my darkest hour- ‘I can only see the future improving for you, you just need to believe! In a recent post, below. I learnt once you have the- I #believe anything is possible mantra, it opens new doors of hope, faith, opportunities and ultimately a new sense of being. The believe changes into many things that takes your mindset into a new level of existence.

I was inspired by one of the magazine segment called my wonderful life- so I did my own version listing all the good things I am thankful for, such as the events I have attended that has inspired me included the 7 habits workshop and Michelle Mone book talk. I hope some of these ideas will inspire your own journey to living and utilising every moment because every moment counts, small moments adds up to bigger moments.

I want to close this by leaving you with the following quote- ‘if you don’t love yourself, you will always be chasing people who don’t love you- unknown. To add to that if you don’t love yourself- your peace levels will be limited. Being happy in your own skin and company will attract better people and things that adds to your life. Hence live and cease your moments- you never know what’s in your path.

May I wish you’re every happiness and success in creating memories and keeping your inner peace.

Best wishes

KIMI

Highly Effective People Strives For Excellence

Hello I hope you enjoyed the last 2 special blog posts about Parentalk and Abuse. I felt it was important for me to use this platform to raise awareness on topics that could make a positive impact on future generations. This week is back to talking about life, inspiration, motivation and ideas-this post was actually inspired by a rather dysfunctional event. Every day we have many distractions, which can keep us from our destiny if we chose to be consumed by it.  Our dreams has to be bigger than our current reality to cause us not to sweat the smaller stuff and that involves letting some things or people go. The difference between effective and not-effective people is how we chose to channel it. Below is how (after the initial annoyance) I done it. Just to put this into context- the individual(s) concerns were unable to take accountability for their actions / errors, instead what I observed was a misuse of power and the slow demise of an outdated organisation. A book review – Part One - Dealing with Disappointment by John Hindley

This book was a relatively easy read with the simple idea that leaves you to question: is life just one big disappointment?  In many ways it does seem so; the author delves into different areas of disappointment in our lives. I suspect most if not all are relatable to everyone. Firstly, the author says we actually should be disappointed by life, as things are not as good as they should be. We live in a frustrated and frustrating world; the frustration is because of the fallen world when sin entered humanity. We all carry this divinely inbuilt sense that the world should and could be better. The book goes on to say that on the other hand, we are sometimes too disappointed with life.  We expect satisfaction from other areas of lives to overcompensate for this.  When this satisfaction is denied, it starts an over-disappointed cycle. For example, I came across a thread where the mum wrote in and expressed disappointment in her children’s grades, which led her to ques...

A seemingly insignificant act has the potential to change the world...

I loved learning about the story of Reformation Day. The significance centres on how the Bible became accessible for everyone to read - historically the general public wasn’t allowed to read it, only priests or those considered anointed within the church were allowed to read it. The priests read the Bible in Latin, so for most people, it wasn’t even possible to read it. God’s word was entrusted into the hands of those in power, who were deemed qualified to understand it.  What the priests were teaching, was not actually in line with what the Bible said, as one monk, called Martin Luther found out. He started to read the Bible for himself out of pure frustration.  According to the teachings of the priests, believing in God seem to be just to be an endless set of rules and it left him feeling as if he could never be good enough for God. Little did he know at the time, he was about to birth a revolution that quite literally changed the world. This set him on a path of ...
