My Journey with the Lord Jesus Christ

Hello

Thank you for taking the time to read this week’s blog post, it’s a real pleasure to be sharing my journey with you. Please connect with me on twitter @ThinkingKimi or visit my profile page on Google+, always love to hear from my readers.

This is a particular poignant time, as this time last year I was in a rather challenging situation. I am so thankful that I managed to work through it. I have received healing through the Lord Jesus Christ, his unconditional love restores my faith in humanity and therefore provides healing and restoration through the flow of inner peace and stillness. Overtime this love is propelling me to new levels of existence, thinking in possibilities and abundance. Being stronger and bolder in fulfilling my purpose because the Lord Jesus Christ is my saviour, healer, strength and always guiding me through my spirit. This has provided me with a solid foundation to build my dream and vision for the future.

I started to recondition my mind because it was so cluttered with things that no longer served me. I wanted to move to a space, where I am never defeated only ever challenged. In the spirit of Joel Osteen- challenges are set to promote you because every set back is a set up for something better and God’s test will be your testimony. You can use adversity to inspire others, give them hope and a reason to stay in faith. When I read about personal stories of how people overcome adversity and to be living in abundance, they were all very compelling in their own right, which included: Tyrese Gibson, Steve Harvey and Tyler Perry the common dominator was God.

As a new believer and consistently practising Christianity, through my thinking based on God’s word and giving my cares to God to take care of- it has allowed me to stay focused because I am no longer over-whelmed and it gives me clarity. Every day we are all met by some sort of negativity, which in most instances we cannot control therefore practising inner peace, allows for joy and clarity to flow through the body, mind and spirit, regardless of what is happening in the outside world this to me is the difference between a winning mentality to a not so.

Despite being physically alone in my faith through my own circle of friends, as I explore this more and more- I feel stronger than ever through my Christian family. One of my highlight’s this week has to be meeting Ian Green and Love Nelson- they rocked their faith through music- making it cool and appealing to the youth particularly. I think Christianity provides an excellent foundation for anyone and everyone, giving a positive grounding through the equipping of strength, courage and faith. The faith in the Lord Jesus Christ will keep you free to think and be. I loved this track by Ian Copeland Green and I hope you do too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzaOQ0hhDZ0

I am definitely a lot stronger and bolder in every step I take, because I am filled with the Holy Spirit. For the time in over 3 decades, I feel complete and at peace because I accepted that, I am special and posses unqiue gifts that God created for me to be and live a life of abundance and be a blessing others-Joel Osteen. I believe my faith has directed me down a path that fills me with hope, through attending relevant courses to healing on a practical level to recondition the mind. I wanted 2015 to be a year of transform- physically, mentally and spiritually. Over 6 month’s on this is slowly becoming a reality and this is all down to the Lord Jesus Christ. The unconditional love has insulated aganist the elements and in healing and restoration, it has renewed my body, mind and spirit through being reborn again, the cleansing of the soul, releasing negativity, reclaiming the cycle of defeat and the releasing of the generational bondage to reclaim true freedom- James Robison & Robert Morris.

My journey with the Lord Jesus Christ has inspired the picture below-it represents what I can see into my future. This time last year it would have been a very bleak picture indeed. The first picture on the left it shows the seeds that has been sowed in me, it then took root building love. It was intentional to show strong and distinctive roots because I believe if your foundations are right, you will always bounce back higher in the trials and tribulations of life because if we do the natural, God will do the supernatural, if we do the ordinary God will do the extra-ordinary-Joel Osteen. The root and stalk is thriving into a beautiful and unique flower because it is built on the bases of love. Each petal represents abundance, happiness and success in every area of my life from being a world class writer, speaker and author to being the best mother and for my daughter to reach her higher self and making good choices.

The second picture represents what happens after all these seeds being sow and bloomed into a flower of abundance. The plant is based on my life, everything I do is with love, including self-love. Through that I build a plant of love that allows me to flourish and reached a higher self. I am so blessed in every area, I can travel the world to bless others through my work and ethos of with inspiration, gives motivation, generates Ideas online platform- Thinking KIMI blog. The envelope is my future, filled with glitter because life is an adventure and can be exactly be how you want it to be, if you believe (discussed in last week’s post what believe can turn into). Ultimately my life is becoming beyond expectation and recognition.

My journey with Christ has been slow and progressive, the work of the following main preachers has enabled me to establish a greater connection with God. The pastors includes Joel Osteen, TD Jakes, and Joyce Meyer. I think the beauty of Christ is that even as a non-believer you can take something away from their messages and becoming a believer will be a natural process I had found. I am not promoting Christ in any shape or form because 1. I don’t know enough myself to preach 2. Believing Christ is a choice from deep within. Therefore I can only speak about what Christ has given me to be at peace with the past, therefore I am in a much better place than where I was before. I believe in the power of pray and being thankful for all that I have. Everything else is a bonus, so I will always chose words to bless over my life.

May I wish you every success in finding your own inner peace and joy.

Best wishes

KIMI

Highly Effective People Strives For Excellence

Hello I hope you enjoyed the last 2 special blog posts about Parentalk and Abuse. I felt it was important for me to use this platform to raise awareness on topics that could make a positive impact on future generations. This week is back to talking about life, inspiration, motivation and ideas-this post was actually inspired by a rather dysfunctional event. Every day we have many distractions, which can keep us from our destiny if we chose to be consumed by it.  Our dreams has to be bigger than our current reality to cause us not to sweat the smaller stuff and that involves letting some things or people go. The difference between effective and not-effective people is how we chose to channel it. Below is how (after the initial annoyance) I done it. Just to put this into context- the individual(s) concerns were unable to take accountability for their actions / errors, instead what I observed was a misuse of power and the slow demise of an outdated organisation. Enjoy...

A book review – Part One - Dealing with Disappointment by John Hindley

This book was a relatively easy read with the simple idea that leaves you to question: is life just one big disappointment?  In many ways it does seem so; the author delves into different areas of disappointment in our lives. I suspect most if not all are relatable to everyone. Firstly, the author says we actually should be disappointed by life, as things are not as good as they should be. We live in a frustrated and frustrating world; the frustration is because of the fallen world when sin entered humanity. We all carry this divinely inbuilt sense that the world should and could be better. The book goes on to say that on the other hand, we are sometimes too disappointed with life.  We expect satisfaction from other areas of lives to overcompensate for this.  When this satisfaction is denied, it starts an over-disappointed cycle. For example, I came across a thread where the mum wrote in and expressed disappointment in her children’s grades, which led her to ques...

A seemingly insignificant act has the potential to change the world...

I loved learning about the story of Reformation Day. The significance centres on how the Bible became accessible for everyone to read - historically the general public wasn’t allowed to read it, only priests or those considered anointed within the church were allowed to read it. The priests read the Bible in Latin, so for most people, it wasn’t even possible to read it. God’s word was entrusted into the hands of those in power, who were deemed qualified to understand it.  What the priests were teaching, was not actually in line with what the Bible said, as one monk, called Martin Luther found out. He started to read the Bible for himself out of pure frustration.  According to the teachings of the priests, believing in God seem to be just to be an endless set of rules and it left him feeling as if he could never be good enough for God. Little did he know at the time, he was about to birth a revolution that quite literally changed the world. This set him on a path of ...
