A short Journey to find eternal #freedom through #Jesus #forgiveness

Hello

Hope you are all having a good week and thank you for stopping by @ThinkingKimi #blog.

We live in a broken society and most of us would have been brought up into brokenness in some shape or form. If we put Jesus first we learn to live within an imperfect world, process the brokenness, keep in faith and learn to coexist in a peaceful and productive manner. I often feel inadequate as a parent and feel ill prepared for my role. I learnt to use my pain to inspire others in challenging times. Andrew Womack talks about we pray by faith not by sight, God hears and answers every pray it may not always be instant as God is spirit that lives in the supernatural realm, to bring our desires to pass he must move through people and things- we need to appreciate that these things takes time. Joel Osteen talks about living in faith and hope- even through the challenging times because that what will drive us through and what we go through, we grow through. It is in the book of proverbs 18, verse 21 that reads ‘Death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat it’s fruit.’ Our words has incredible power and only if we realise this- we would start to break free from a vicious cycle. Our words have incredible power it can bring us up and equally it can bring us down, use words to bless over your life, never say anything that you don't want to come true-Joel Osteen.

I do struggle from time to time with some of the teachings such as forgiveness, despite my best efforts past hurt and trauma keeps resurfacing. Forgiveness is a choice and I came across a great definition on daystar. Forgiveness is releasing the desire to retaliate and to retaliate means to return the favour. Releasing the pain makes you freer in body, mind, soul and spirit. To be truly free means you are embracing life, living in the moment and not to be mentally imprisoned.  Do not allow your wounds to turn you into somebody that you are not- unknown. Learning to forgive and live freely in body, mind, spirit and soul would not only improve our general wellness, but free the future generations of a similar fate. God is a spirit and lives in the supernatural world therefore anything is possible. God is a healer and will restore our hearts and minds. Before I was reborn again, I found my spirit was dead but now it’s definitely alive. Everyday I am learning new revelation that would leave the burden behind because I am what God says I am not anybody else. God does give life because his word is the truth to lead a good life and his words is medicine through adversity. I have a real passion for life and a real desire to put everything behind me and start again.

My daughter is my future, everything I do is to ensure I have broken the generational bondage that surrounds our family. I truly believe that every great story starts with the home, every child can succeed, thrive and accomplish amazing things by love, consistency, structure and nurturing. Through the power and the unconditional love of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, we learn to accept, have compassion, courage and strength to think beyond the negativity. By living the principles of Christianity, any circumstances can be transformed and open young minds to think beyond their current reality. I cannot thank the healing power of God enough, without it I would have been stuck and probably continuing repeating a dysfunctional path. The sense of belonging has literally propelled me into new levels. My only objective this year after a rather challenging period was to undergo a personal transformation. I am pleased to say that my general wellness hasn't been better and for the first time I am excited about the future because instead of counting the days, I am making the days count through my journey with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Highly Effective People Strives For Excellence

Hello I hope you enjoyed the last 2 special blog posts about Parentalk and Abuse. I felt it was important for me to use this platform to raise awareness on topics that could make a positive impact on future generations. This week is back to talking about life, inspiration, motivation and ideas-this post was actually inspired by a rather dysfunctional event. Every day we have many distractions, which can keep us from our destiny if we chose to be consumed by it.  Our dreams has to be bigger than our current reality to cause us not to sweat the smaller stuff and that involves letting some things or people go. The difference between effective and not-effective people is how we chose to channel it. Below is how (after the initial annoyance) I done it. Just to put this into context- the individual(s) concerns were unable to take accountability for their actions / errors, instead what I observed was a misuse of power and the slow demise of an outdated organisation. Enjoy...

A book review – Part One - Dealing with Disappointment by John Hindley

This book was a relatively easy read with the simple idea that leaves you to question: is life just one big disappointment?  In many ways it does seem so; the author delves into different areas of disappointment in our lives. I suspect most if not all are relatable to everyone. Firstly, the author says we actually should be disappointed by life, as things are not as good as they should be. We live in a frustrated and frustrating world; the frustration is because of the fallen world when sin entered humanity. We all carry this divinely inbuilt sense that the world should and could be better. The book goes on to say that on the other hand, we are sometimes too disappointed with life.  We expect satisfaction from other areas of lives to overcompensate for this.  When this satisfaction is denied, it starts an over-disappointed cycle. For example, I came across a thread where the mum wrote in and expressed disappointment in her children’s grades, which led her to ques...

A seemingly insignificant act has the potential to change the world...

I loved learning about the story of Reformation Day. The significance centres on how the Bible became accessible for everyone to read - historically the general public wasn’t allowed to read it, only priests or those considered anointed within the church were allowed to read it. The priests read the Bible in Latin, so for most people, it wasn’t even possible to read it. God’s word was entrusted into the hands of those in power, who were deemed qualified to understand it.  What the priests were teaching, was not actually in line with what the Bible said, as one monk, called Martin Luther found out. He started to read the Bible for himself out of pure frustration.  According to the teachings of the priests, believing in God seem to be just to be an endless set of rules and it left him feeling as if he could never be good enough for God. Little did he know at the time, he was about to birth a revolution that quite literally changed the world. This set him on a path of ...
