Core Values - Be #Thankful #Grateful

Hello

I hope you had a great summer and feeling refreshed to end the last quarter of 2015 on a high. I wanted to start back with a blog of thanks to my readers and other people that has supported me on this journey.

I want to kick start this by giving my special thanks to Patricia at http://businessbasecamp.eu/

I recently shared my own story of what success means to me and you can too- please join in the discussion, the team would love to hear from you!  I don’t usually put my face to things as I am rather camera shy but I made an exception - It truly is a great movement to be part of and I couldn't recommend it enough. Thank you again for the opportunity!

Following this link and you can catch my story and others: http://businessbasecamp.eu/the-road-to-success-2/

A big shout out to Marsha Wright and the #ThinkBigSundayWithMarsha team- (please see my earlier posts in June for more information).

I participate most weeks on sharing inspiring, uplifting and positive quotes for the past few months. The response has been amazing and it’s such a pleasure to be connecting with likeminded people. The continuous support has been fantastic and I will be always so grateful for the trend inspiring me and keeping my spirit alive that yes you can have a life beyond your current circumstances. Thank you for all your RT’s, Fav’s and adding me to your list- much appreciated!

I attended some of the most influential sermons at Bath City Church, it promotes victourious Christian Living. My personal favourites include: Steve Witt, Heidi Baker and Jerry Niswander. The presence of the Holy Spirit is evident and the passion is always infectious. The recent sermon by Jerry, literally spoke to me- there is only plan A, no plan B. Any negative seeds that has been planted needs to be replanted using the word from the Bible. I am who God says I am, which is I am victorious. This is a healing and restoring process in itself because I am no longer alone, I have the strength of God and I acknowledging the fact that I am the child of the Most Mighty God. The prays I received has restored my soul and given life to my spirit. I no longer think in lack and mediocrity because I genuinely believe that my best days are still ahead of me. My body, spirit and soul is generally aligned with the peace that God brings me. I never allow anything to stop me from being and doing my best, I have the grace from God to make the right choice, however difficult it maybe at first.

My mentors: I had the privilege of working with some of the most amazing business people, here's some of the key things I took away:

'If you focus hard enough on your goals you can achieve anything' Everything that ever existed started in someone's mind-if you can visualise then you can materialise.

'Your future will get better, you just have to believe' Your mental state or mindset is the starting point of any personal transformation.

'If you treat it like a waste of time then it will be a waste of time' I always add to this mantra such as If you see it as an issue then it will be an issue. Your attitude governs your actions, always chose to keep your peace, you make better choices and do better.

If you don't have confidence in yourself then why should an employer or a potential client? It's important to address those self limiting beliefs or poor self image that you may be holding. No-one wants to work with a negative person, but everyone wants to be around a positive person.

Last but by no means least- I want to thank everybody who has read my blog and supported my work in any shape or form. In just over 3 months I didn't expect to have over 2K hits so far. Please do connect with me as I have some very exciting plans and freebies in the coming weeks, as a thank you and dare I mention getting into the festive spirit.

The above is only a small sample of things that I am thankful for- love to hear your thankful stories- please join in the discussion, love to hear from you all.

Best wishes

KIMI

Highly Effective People Strives For Excellence

Hello I hope you enjoyed the last 2 special blog posts about Parentalk and Abuse. I felt it was important for me to use this platform to raise awareness on topics that could make a positive impact on future generations. This week is back to talking about life, inspiration, motivation and ideas-this post was actually inspired by a rather dysfunctional event. Every day we have many distractions, which can keep us from our destiny if we chose to be consumed by it.  Our dreams has to be bigger than our current reality to cause us not to sweat the smaller stuff and that involves letting some things or people go. The difference between effective and not-effective people is how we chose to channel it. Below is how (after the initial annoyance) I done it. Just to put this into context- the individual(s) concerns were unable to take accountability for their actions / errors, instead what I observed was a misuse of power and the slow demise of an outdated organisation. Enjoy...

A book review – Part One - Dealing with Disappointment by John Hindley

This book was a relatively easy read with the simple idea that leaves you to question: is life just one big disappointment?  In many ways it does seem so; the author delves into different areas of disappointment in our lives. I suspect most if not all are relatable to everyone. Firstly, the author says we actually should be disappointed by life, as things are not as good as they should be. We live in a frustrated and frustrating world; the frustration is because of the fallen world when sin entered humanity. We all carry this divinely inbuilt sense that the world should and could be better. The book goes on to say that on the other hand, we are sometimes too disappointed with life.  We expect satisfaction from other areas of lives to overcompensate for this.  When this satisfaction is denied, it starts an over-disappointed cycle. For example, I came across a thread where the mum wrote in and expressed disappointment in her children’s grades, which led her to ques...

A seemingly insignificant act has the potential to change the world...

I loved learning about the story of Reformation Day. The significance centres on how the Bible became accessible for everyone to read - historically the general public wasn’t allowed to read it, only priests or those considered anointed within the church were allowed to read it. The priests read the Bible in Latin, so for most people, it wasn’t even possible to read it. God’s word was entrusted into the hands of those in power, who were deemed qualified to understand it.  What the priests were teaching, was not actually in line with what the Bible said, as one monk, called Martin Luther found out. He started to read the Bible for himself out of pure frustration.  According to the teachings of the priests, believing in God seem to be just to be an endless set of rules and it left him feeling as if he could never be good enough for God. Little did he know at the time, he was about to birth a revolution that quite literally changed the world. This set him on a path of ...
